"The Educator"

"The Educator" is joint partnership between South Suburban College and Governors State University that increases the educational opportunities both are able to supply. By merging program schedules and efforts, we are able to provided a richer learning experience to residents in over fifty municipalities.

Our broadcast area extends from Chicago, Illinois to Kankakee, Illinois on Comcast channel 16. You can find us on WideOpenWest (WOW!) Cable, channel 24 in South Holland, Oak Forest and Calumet City, Illinois. We have recently launched with AT&T U-verse TV on Channel 99 / South Holland, IL.

Our broadcast schedule contains original programming, satellite broadcast from sources such as NASA, the Pentagon, and the U.S. Department of Education, in addition to a variety of telecourses that may be taken for distance learning credit.
