BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENT Students, Faculty, and Staff are invited to experience the life of Harriet Tubman. The Portrayal of Harriet Tubman by Cynthia Maddox is a one-women show giving insight to a leading abolitionist. Some called her Moses, others called her General Tubman. She became the first woman in the Civil War to lead an assault, the Combahee River Raid in which 700 slaves were set free. BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENT Students, Faculty, and Staff are invited to sit in and listen to Dialogues and Diversity. The Movement: 50 Years of Love and Struggle is a visual chronicle which highlights many of the political, social and cultural markers of the roughly 50 years since passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Funded by Predominantly Black Institution Grant (PBI).

BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENT Student organizations are invited to the SAG Office (Cafeteria) from 12:30 – 1:30pm to participate in a game show style quiz competition with prizes and giveaways. The purpose is to encourage the appreciation of African-American heritage by all people in an entertaining quiz show format.
