You CAN Make a Difference!!

The Office of Violence Against Women Grant invites all students to attend Bystander Intervention Training via Zoom. This free training will position you to actively intervene in incidents of domestic/dating violence, stalking and sexual assault (DVSAS). We will discuss the following:

  • Definitions of key terms
  • Warning signs of DVSAS
  • Review and application of violence-reduction strategies
  • Barriers to being an active bystander
Download the flyer below and pick a date from the options and email aglumac@ssc.edu with your name and date selection. You must reserve your spot in order to receive the Zoom link.

Reservations MUST be made by 12:00 noon or before the day of the workshop.

You will receive a certificate of completion once you complete an evaluation of your session.

Many instructors are offering extra-credit for attending this important workshop. Service learning credits available as well! Talk with them to see if you qualify!

Let’s work together to end violence!!
