The PAC Rats Theater Company is performing “Bleacher Bums”, directed by Paul Braun of Highland, IN. Performances are scheduled for September 16th, 17th and 23rd at 7:30 p.m., with 2:00 p.m. matinees on September 24th and 25th. All performances will be in the Kindig Performing Arts Center located on SSC’s Main Campus located at 15800 South State Street in South Holland.

“Bleacher Bums” was collaboratively written by members of Chicago’s Organic Theater Company from an idea by actor Joe Mantegna. It is one of the longest running plays in Chicago theatrical history. The play is set in the bleachers during an afternoon Chicago Cubs baseball game at Wrigley Field. There we find die-hard Cubs fans rooting for their team. Members of the group include a sun-worshipper, a blind man who follows the game by transistor radio, a professional gambler, a husband and wife, and a nerd. All of them with varied personalities, but one common obsession… The Cubs.
