In May of 2016, the Child Development Center of SSC closed its doors, in part, due the State of Illinois budget crisis. We regret that this action was necessary. Our on-site child care center was a benefit to our students and we know the impact that its closing has had on our students. Therefore, as a service to our valued students and the community, we wish to share with those who might need child care, some of the closest child care centers within 1-2 miles of South Suburban College. Please keep in mind that we are not recommending any center but merely sharing with you so that, as a parent or caregiver, you can determine if the center fits your needs. They are:
