Transcripts

We’re thrilled to announce that transcript processing is back up and running! However, please note that we are still working on full restoration. At the moment, we regret to inform you that we are unable to print transcripts dated prior to 2003 for those who haven’t received one in the past. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to enhance our services. Thank you for your patience!

Unofficial transcripts can be obtained by each student by accessing SSC Self Service. The Records Office does not provide unofficial transcripts. Certificate and degree information will not be included in an unofficial transcript. Only Official transcripts obtained from the Records Office will include the posting of certificates and degrees.

Official Transcripts include:

  • Course work taken at SSC
  • Degree and certificate conferrals
  • Honors

Transcripts will not reflect the student’s full social security number. The name last known to the college will appear as the name on the record. Unofficial transcripts can be obtained by students with active Self-Service accounts.

To request an official transcript, visit the Business Office during normal business hours. Requests must be made in writing and must contain the complete mailing address of the recipient of the transcript, the social security number, date of birth, name, signature and current address. A fee of $8.00 is charged for each transcript. All same day and overnight requests must be received before 2 p.m. in order to be processed that same day.

Students with foreign transcripts must have transcripts (high school and/or college) evaluated by Educational Credentials Evaluators, Inc. (ECE) prior to the first semester of attendance at SSC and are responsible for the payment of any ECE evaluation fees.

Financial Obligations

South Suburban College will fulfill requests for current or former students with an outstanding financial obligation for purposes of employment ONLY. Transcripts are mailed directly to the employer and are not available for pick-up. If this is the case or you have questions, please contact the Records Office at (708) 210-5814 before submitting a transcript request.

If you have a financial obligation with the College and would like to request a transcript for reasons other than employment, please contact the Cashier’s Office at (708) 596-2000 ext. 5720 before submitting a transcript request.
