South Suburban College Announces Virtual Classroom, Free Class and Free Laptop Applications for the Spring Semester

SOUTH HOLLAND, IL–South Suburban College (SSC) announces the extension of its Virtual Classroom Model for the 2021 Spring Semester, including online and blended classroom instruction methods and limited on-campus activities. Spring classes begin Monday, January 11, 2021, and class schedules, registration services and a new “live chat” with staff are all available online from ssc.edu.

SSC previously announced the extension of its Virtual Classroom Model for the 2020 Fall Semester along with a free laptop application and other technical supports such as hotspots to assist students with the virtual learning environment. Apply from https://www.ssc.edu/technology-relief-fund/.

New students may also take advantage of SSC’s free class tuition waiver available to first time credit students for fall or spring semesters who reside within SSC District 510 or Lake County, Indiana (cannot be used with Federal and/or State Financial Aid, or other tuition or employer subsidy programs). Additionally, former students make take advantage of a new one-time SSC Student Debt Relief Fund. Financial resources are allocated to students who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and are distributed on a case-by-case basis until exhausted. Future SSC students should get started at admissions.ssc.edu. Once the application process is complete, new students will receive an SSC email account and a Self-Service Username & Password via email which will allow access to student information and class registration.
