Institutional Effectiveness

Institutional Effectiveness advances student success through the promotion of excellence in learning and teaching. Institutional Effectiveness fosters a campus culture of intellectual inquiry into student learning and educational excellence. Institutional Effectiveness coordinates and supports campus efforts to collect, analyze, interpret, and disseminate institutional data for purposes of curricular enhancement, strategic planning and decision-making, policy development, and institutional improvement.

South Suburban College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and is approved by the Illinois Community College Board. SSC has also been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.

The mission of the Office of Institutional Research at South Suburban College supports administrative planning and decision-making by providing accurate and timely data in high-quality reports and administering institutional, local, and national surveys. The office supports the mission and goals of South Suburban College through several functions.
