Housing Resources

If you are a student experiencing homelessness please consider the resources provided below. There is no on-campus housing at South Suburban College, but if you are a resident of suburban Cook County experiencing homelessness or at-risk of experiencing homelessness, call the Suburban Cook Call Center at (877) 426-6515, Monday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Tuesday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

There is financial assistance for students who are experiencing homelessness. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) contains three questions that ask about homelessness. Note, the responses to the questions regarding the homelessness status must be verified. The Financial Aid Office at SSC can work with students whose housing status has changed. For more information, contact the Financial Aid Office via email sscfinaid@ssc.edu, by phone at (708) 596-2000, ext. 5780, or visit Room 2355 on the Main Campus in South Holland.
