Student Self-Service will be unavailable during a scheduled upgrade from March 13 at 4:00 PM and continue through March 20. Students who wish to register during the outage window can do so by completing a paper registration form available in-person at the SSC Circle.
Life Long Learning
Ruth Johnson Colvin is an alumna of Thornton Junior College (now South Suburban College). She was given the President’s Volunteer Action Award in 1987. Ruth started Literacy Volunteers of America, one of the founding organizations of ProLiteracy. She has visited numerous countries and has authored books to combat illiteracy.
“I’ll be 99 in one month and still reading, writing, teaching, traveling, playing golf and active on boards and in church. It’s life long learning.”
