The SOLES Scholarship is a $1000 award presented to one outstanding Latino student for use in the following Summer, Fall, or Spring semesters. The award covers educational costs, such as tuition, fees and books at South Suburban College. Recipients must be of Latino descent and must complete a 500 word essay addressing the following questions:
How has your heritage impacted your life and view of your future?
Discuss the various ways in which you contribute to your community?
How will your education impact you, your family and your community?
- Must be enrolled in a degree seeking/certificate program.
- Must enroll for a minimum of six (6) credit hours.
- Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
