In accordance with the requirements set forth in Illinois Compiled Statutes, Chapter 110, Section 805/3-27.1, the Board of Trustees of Community College District #510, shall award all contracts for purchase of supplies, materials or work involving an expenditure in excess of $25,000 or such other minimum amount as may be specified in said section to lowest responsible bidder considering conformity with specifications, terms of delivery, quality and serviceability, after due advertisement. Competitive bidding shall not be required for those contracts specifically exempted from competitive bidding by Illinois Compiled Statutes.

Bidders are advised to review all conditions, requirements, quantities, and descriptions set forth in the specifications prior to submitting their documents to ensure that all forms have been verified for completeness and accuracy. The College will strictly enforce compliance with the terms of all bids accepted by the College.

Bid Lists

A vendor should submit a written request to be placed on our bid lists. This request maybe fax, emailed, or mailed and must include the type of product or service you wish to supply to the College.

Upon receipt of your request, your name will be placed on the appropriate bid list(s) and you will receive notice of any future bids that pertain to your product or service. Additionally, the College will place a legal notice in a publication of general circulation within our district for the purpose of notifying any interested parties of our intent to solicit bids.

Auction of Surplus Property

South Suburban College is interested in auctioning surplus property per attached specifications and criteria listed in the attachment below. All surplus property is sold where is, as is, and with no written or implied warranties. Bids must be delivered to South Suburban College, 15800 S. State Street, South Holland, Illinois 60473, room 2115 no later than February 17, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. The bid opening will be held at that time in the President’s Conference Room.
